Peter Brown grew up in Hopewell, New Jersey. At the age of six, he created his first picture book. Brown liked to conjure up ridiculous personas. He was inspired to pursue art by an art instructor in high school who saw his potential. Brown attended the Pasadena, California-based Art Center College of Design. Following graduation, he made New York City his home. He is the author and illustrator of six picture books. Over a dozen languages have been translated into English from his novels. Brown frequently speaks with kids about his work at libraries and schools.
